Where is My Miracle?

Where is My Miracle?
by Royce

Have you ever found yourself asking, “Where is my miracle?” You’ve prayed, fasted, and hoped, but the sickness remains, the relationship stays broken, or the job offer never comes. The Bible is full of miracles, yet it also contains stories of those who didn’t receive one. Why is that? Why does God choose to intervene in some situations but not others?

Consider the story of Lazarus, raised from the dead by Jesus in John 11. His family’s mourning turned into joy as they witnessed a miracle beyond comprehension. Now, think of John the Baptist, a faithful servant of God. Imprisoned and beheaded, he didn’t experience rescue or miraculous deliverance (Matthew 14:1-12). Both were deeply loved by God, yet their outcomes were starkly different.

Or look at Paul, who pleaded three times for his “thorn in the flesh” to be removed. God’s response wasn’t a miraculous healing but a profound truth: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9). Paul didn’t receive relief, but he received something even deeper — an understanding of God’s sustaining grace.

These examples remind us that God’s miracles are not random but part of His larger plan. Sometimes, miracles serve a specific purpose in revealing His glory, while at other times, His purposes are fulfilled through trials and unanswered prayers.

When your miracle doesn’t come, it’s easy to feel overlooked. But pause and consider this: you are a miracle. Your very existence is evidence of God’s handiwork. Every breath you take, every heartbeat, is a testament to the miraculous.

The human eye, for example, is an intricate organ with over two million working parts, enabling us to see the world in vivid detail. Your body is made up of trillions of cells, each functioning like a small factory — digesting nutrients, generating energy, and repairing damage — all working together to keep you alive.

Psalm 139:14 beautifully captures this truth: “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”

God’s miracles aren’t limited to physical healings or dramatic rescues. Sometimes, the greatest miracle is His presence in our pain, His peace in our turmoil, and the unexplainable joy that sustains us despite unchanging circumstances.

When you feel forgotten because your miracle hasn’t come, remember this: you are not forgotten, and you are not ordinary. Your life, woven together by the Creator, is a miracle that testifies to His power and love. Whether or not your specific prayer is answered as you hoped, know this: you are deeply loved, intricately designed, and sustained by a God who performs miracles every day — starting with you.

Take heart, for even in the waiting, you are the miracle.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of life and the miracle of my existence. I admit that sometimes I struggle to understand why certain prayers seem unanswered. When I feel forgotten or overlooked, remind me of Your unfailing love and the intricate ways You have made and sustained me. Help me trust in Your plan, even when I don’t see the outcome I desire. Give me peace in the waiting, hope in the unknown, and faith to know that You are always working for my good and Your glory. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Reflection Questions:
Can you identify moments in your life when God’s grace and presence sustained you, even in the absence of a miracle?
Reflect on the intricate design of your body. How does knowing that you are “fearfully and wonderfully made” deepen your understanding of God’s care for you?
How can you shift your perspective to see God’s everyday miracles, even in the midst of unanswered prayers?
